Zumr
App digitizing traditional Omani savings circles (jameeyat) for collaborative group saving.

Zumr is an Omani fintech startup, founded around 2022 and led by CEO Shamsa Al Salami, that digitizes traditional rotating savings and credit associations known in Arabic as jameeyat (the platform's own circles are called 'zumr'). The platform lets groups of people form savings circles with monthly contributions starting from as little as 5 Omani rial and durations of 3 to 12 months, replacing informal cash-based or word-of-mouth arrangements with a transparent, trackable digital process. Zumr has operated within the Central Bank of Oman's Fintech Regulatory Sandbox and graduated from the Central Bank of Oman Fintech Accelerator, powered by Omantel Innovation Labs. It has partnered with OMPay for payment-gateway and KYC services and with the National Bank of Oman, and has received recognition from the Central Bank of Oman, ITHCA Group, and Visa.
