Wayl is a fintech company based in Baghdad, Iraq, founded in 2021 by Ali Ismail. It gives Iraqi merchants, freelancers and small online sellers a payment aggregation gateway, invoicing tools and ready-made online storefronts, with integrations for WooCommerce, Shopify and WordPress. It supports local Iraqi payment methods such as ZainCash, FastPay, QiCard, Nass Wallet and FIB alongside international card payments, and states PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 2 compliance. Wayl is registered as an Iraqi legal entity and also as an innovation startup in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). It has been a member of The Station, a Baghdad-based startup hub and investor, and in February 2024 raised a $150,000 pre-seed round led by EQIQ Ventures with participation from The Station. Coverage of the company has described it as working toward becoming the 'Stripe for Iraq.'
