Wafeer
An app that automatically tracks your spending and gives you personalized financial reports.
Wafeer is a Saudi Arabian personal finance management app, developed by Wafeer Holding LTD and headquartered in Riyadh. It was founded in 2019 by Abdulaziz AlJasser, Ahmed Ramadan, and Salah Al-Bassam. The app lets users track their expenses automatically, either by connecting to their bank accounts or by reading SMS notifications from banks, without manual entry of transactions. It uses automated categorization to organize spending, generates detailed charts and reports, and gives users alerts and recommendations to help them avoid overspending. In 2020, Wafeer was approved to operate inside the Saudi Central Bank's (SAMA) Regulatory Sandbox. The company has partnered with regional platforms such as Noon and Hungerstation to surface personalized discounts to its users based on their spending patterns. Wafeer raised a pre-seed round led by Nama Ventures, with participation from RAI Group, WomenSpark, and angel investors. The app is available on iOS, Android, and Huawei AppGallery, and its interface is in Arabic.
