Wadiaa

Wadiaa is an Oman-based fintech platform offering equity- and lending-based crowdfunding to connect small and medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs with individual and institutional investors, including angel investors and venture capital firms. The platform aims to address a large financing gap facing SMEs in the region by giving creditworthy businesses an alternative to traditional bank loans, while giving investors access to early-stage and growth-stage local companies. Wadiaa is licensed by Oman's Financial Services Authority (FSA). It has partnered with organizations such as HES FinTech, which provides its crowdfunding software infrastructure, and Zubair Establishment for Trading (Zubair EDC) to expand support for entrepreneurs in Oman. Its mobile app is available on Android, and its CEO has spoken publicly at regional fintech events such as the TAS Banking and Technology Summit.
