Vatrin

Vatrin is a Palestinian e-commerce startup founded in 2019 by Ra'fat Masri, Majd Taweel and Diala Khashan. It lets small and medium businesses set up an online store using their WhatsApp number, manage inventory, track sales, receive order notifications on WhatsApp, and accept local online payments, without needing a traditional website builder. The company has raised investment from Ibtikar Fund (Palestine's venture fund) and a co-investment matching grant from the World Bank. Vatrin has grown beyond Palestine into Egypt and Iraq, reporting more than 12,000 SMEs on its platform and around 5 million store visits. The company is registered with a US entity address in Washington, DC, but its founders and operations are Palestinian.
