Valu
Egypt's BNPL and consumer finance app for installment shopping, cards, loans and investments.

Valu is an Egyptian fintech platform offering buy-now-pay-later installment financing, prepaid and co-branded payment cards, personal loans, car financing (Shift), luxury-goods financing (Ulter), an integrated shopping marketplace with cashback (Shop'IT), an invoice redemption service (Sha2labaz), a digital gift-card product (Flip), a business platform for SME workforce and operations management, and investment products including money market funds. Founded in 2017 by Walid Hassouna, Valu pioneered buy-now-pay-later in Egypt and says it serves millions of users through a network of more than 9,000 partner merchants, with operations extending into Jordan. In June 2025 Valu began trading on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), with Amazon acquiring a minority stake as part of the listing, and the company has since drawn additional bank credit lines (including from the National Bank of Egypt) to fund its lending book.
