TheDar.AI (also known as Darwinz AI) builds dima, an Arabic-first AI media monitoring and social listening copilot. Founded in Egypt in 2021 by Emad Elazhary and Mohy Aboualam, the company is now headquartered in Riyadh (The Garage, KACST) with a second office in Cairo. dima tracks conversations across social media, news, TV and radio, and claims roughly 97% accuracy recognizing Arabic dialects, slang and Franco-Arabic rather than only Modern Standard Arabic. It targets PR agencies, marketing teams, brand managers and enterprises across the region, reporting over 250 clients, operations in six countries, and client retention above 90%. In June 2025 the company raised a $325,000 seed round led by Flat6Labs KSA and Glint Ventures to expand its Riyadh team and product.
