Sympl is an Egyptian fintech company offering a buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) service branded "Save Now, Pay Sympl." Shoppers can split purchases into interest-free installments (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, typically over 3-5+ months) at checkout with partner retailers, with an optional down payment. The company has partnered with more than 50 retailers across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle categories in Egypt, including well-known brands such as Clarks, Mango, Gap, and Aldo. Sympl was founded in October 2021 by Mohamed El-Feky (previously a co-creator of consumer finance company valU), Yasmine Henna, and Karim Tawfik (co-creator of B2B e-commerce platform Capiter), and is headquartered in Cairo. In December 2021 the company announced a $6 million seed funding round to expand its BNPL offering.
