Suplyd
Digital procurement platform letting Egyptian restaurants and cafes order F&B supplies online.

Suplyd is an Egypt-based B2B marketplace and procurement platform serving the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants, cafes). It was founded in January 2022 by Gohar Said, Karim Selima, and Ahmed ElMahdy to digitize restaurant supply-chain ordering, which was previously handled through fragmented phone calls and paper-based processes. Through its web shop and mobile apps, restaurants can order from a catalog of more than 1,000 products across 200+ suppliers, schedule recurring orders, get next-day delivery, track orders, and use built-in e-invoicing and e-payment tools plus spend/market-trend analytics. Suplyd has partnered with restaurant POS provider Foodics to link ordering and inventory data, and reports serving over 5,000 restaurants. It raised a $1.6 million pre-seed round in 2022 and a $2 million pre-Series A round in August 2025 led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors, to expand beyond core procurement.
