Starvania (Starvania Studio) is an indie game development studio founded in 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Meaad Aflah and Muslih Alzahrani. The studio creates fantasy games inspired by Arabian and broader Middle Eastern mythology. Its flagship title, 'Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree,' is a 2D adventure game released on Steam in 2024 and available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox; the studio has also released a co-op platformer called 'Doughnut Panic.' Starvania was recognized as Best Game Startup in the MENA region at the 2024 MENA Games Industry Awards. In August 2025, the studio raised $1.1 million from Merak Capital and Impact46 to expand its PC and console development and grow its team.
