Sinai.ai
AI-native platform that turns licensed books into interactive, personalized reading experiences.

Sinai.ai is a Cairo, Egypt-based startup founded in 2024 by CEO Ahmed Kamel along with co-founders Mohamed Elshamy, Mohamed Elshenawy, Hana Malhas and Abdullah Moatasem, building an AI-native reading platform. Its core product is aiBook, a proprietary format that turns licensed print books into interactive digital experiences: readers can converse with the text, get AI-generated summaries, switch between reading and narrated audio, take notes and highlights, and generate study materials. Unlike some AI content tools, Sinai.ai licenses content directly from publishers rather than ingesting books without permission. The platform is currently in an invite-based beta accessible via request at app.sinai.ai, with native iOS and Android apps announced as forthcoming. In April 2026 the company raised a $1.45 million pre-seed round led by KAUST Innovation Ventures and DisrupTech Ventures, with participation from Maza Ventures, YOUXEL Ventures and angel investors, to fund technology development, publisher licensing and user acquisition.
