SehaTech is an Egyptian insurtech startup, founded by Mohamed Elshabrawy, Mostafa Tarek and Omar Shawky, that digitizes the health-insurance claims workflow between insurers and healthcare providers. Its full-stack platform covers eligibility checks, pre-authorizations, claims adjudication, fraud screening and settlement: hospitals and clinics upload claims directly, while insurers review, approve or flag them through a unified dashboard. The company says the platform tackles long-standing inefficiencies and fraud in Egypt's medical insurance ecosystem, and reports having processed EGP 1.2 billion in claims during 2025. In October 2025, SehaTech closed a $1.1M seed round led by Ingressive Capital, with participation from Plus VC and existing backers A15 and Beltone Venture Capital, bringing its total funding to $2M.
