Reedz

Reedz is a startup based in Tunis, Tunisia, founded in 2021 by Haithem Kchaou. Its mobile app offers Arabic-language audio summaries of bestselling non-fiction books, spanning topics such as entrepreneurship, management, leadership and communication skills, condensed into roughly 15-20 minute listens, along with original podcast content. It runs a freemium model: one free summary or podcast per day, with a paid subscription of roughly $2-8 per month unlocking a full library of around 200 book summaries. Reedz went through the Flat6Labs Tunis seed accelerator's 7th cycle in 2021. As of press coverage, the app had been downloaded more than 90,000 times across Android and iOS, with about 10% of downloads coming from the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
