Raseedi
Egyptian fintech app offering cheap calls, bill payments, and instant micro-loans for underbanked users.
Raseedi is an Egyptian fintech app founded in 2018 by Ahmed Atalla and Samuel Samy, targeting Egypt's underbanked dual-SIM smartphone users. Its core feature is a smart dialer that lets members call each other for free over data or WiFi and finds the cheapest way to call non-members, alongside mobile recharge with cashback, bill payments, and a loyalty rewards program. The company raised $850,000 in a pre-Series A round from Japanese VC Samurai Incubate and a European investor. In January 2025, Raseedi acquired Kashat and its licensed subsidiary Pharos Microfinance S.A.E., adding fully digital, no-paperwork nano-loans of up to 3,000 EGP disbursed instantly to users' mobile wallets. The app remains available on Android and iOS and via raseediapp.com.
