Presto
Libya's leading on-demand food, grocery, and delivery app, operating in Tripoli, Benghazi, and Misrata.

Presto is a Libyan on-demand delivery platform founded in 2020 in Tripoli by Ammar Hmid (CEO) and Habeb Nino. The app lets users order restaurant food, groceries, and other goods for home delivery, and also runs a same-day parcel and last-mile delivery service called Presto Line for online and physical merchants. As of 2024, Presto operated in four Libyan cities — Tripoli, Benghazi, Misrata, and Zliten — working with more than 2,000 merchants and a fleet of roughly 24,000 delivery drivers, and had delivered over 3.5 million orders to more than 535,000 users. Rest of World reported in 2024 that Presto was the second-largest delivery app in North Africa after Glovo, with stated plans to expand into Tunisia, Morocco, and Mauritania. The company was initially funded with about $3 million from friends and family, with no subsequent institutional funding round publicly disclosed. Note: the company's originally listed domain, presto.ly, does not currently resolve; its LinkedIn page and other references point to presto.app as the live website.
