Paysky is a Cairo-based digital payments and financial technology company founded around 2016-2017 by Waleed Sadek. It provides payment infrastructure for banks, merchants, telecom operators, and enterprises across Egypt and the wider Middle East and Africa region, including virtual and Android POS terminals, e-commerce payment gateways (PayForm), payment links, card issuing and acquiring, and e-invoicing tools. Paysky built and operates Egypt's National Payment Gateway (Union Pay Gateway/UPG) in partnership with the Central Bank of Egypt since 2019, enabling e-commerce, QR-code, and POS payment acceptance nationwide, and it launched a similar national payment gateway for the Central Bank of Libya around 2020-2021. The company also offers consumer-facing products such as the Yalla Super App and Yalla Card.
