oliv
Digital invoice and purchase financing that gets Egyptian SMEs funded within 48 hours.
oliv is a digital invoice-financing company serving small and medium-sized businesses in Egypt. It offers two core products: invoice financing, which converts a business's unpaid e-invoices into immediate working capital, and purchase financing, under which oliv pays a business's suppliers on its behalf. Credit decisions are made in under 10 minutes using data from Egypt's mandatory e-invoicing platform, and approved funds are disbursed within 48 hours, with revolving credit limits of up to EGP 7 million, financing terms of up to 90 days for sales invoices and up to 6 months for purchases, and no requirement to submit financial statements. To qualify, a business needs at least 6 months of history on Egypt's e-invoicing system and at least EGP 10 million in annual sales, and must be a registered B2B entity. oliv was founded in February 2024 by Ziad Mokhtar, a former founding partner at Algebra Ventures, and Hatem Sabry, a former director at Deutsche Bank. In December 2024 it obtained Egypt's first digital factoring license from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), issued under the fintech lending law of 2022, and in October 2025 it signed an EGP 30 million credit facility with Suez Canal Bank to fund its lending book. The company positions itself as helping close an estimated $8 billion invoice-financing gap for Egyptian SMEs.
