Myu
A school management and learning platform connecting teachers, students and parents.

Myu (myU) is a Kuwait-based learning management and school communication platform covering the full education lifecycle — class delivery, student engagement, attendance tracking, grading, and institutional administration — for early-childhood programs, K-12 schools and higher-education institutions. It functions as an internal, controlled social network for a school's students, faculty, and clubs, letting educators manage classes, share content, and run discussions in a privacy-focused environment rather than through open public social media. Founded by Bader Alessa, who began designing the app in May 2012, it launched on the App Store in December 2013 and on Android in April 2014. Myu has reported reaching over 250,000 monthly active students across more than 5,000 schools in the MENA region and won first place in Kuwait's Education Technology (EdTech) contest run by the Ministry of Education and the Kuwait PR Association. Note: the original lead described Myu as a "school and campus safety app"; based on current sourcing it is more accurately an LMS/school-communication platform whose privacy-and-safety framing (a controlled, monitored environment for school communication) may be the basis for that characterization.
