Mtor
B2B marketplace connecting car workshops in Egypt with a reliable, on-demand supply of auto spare parts.

Mtor is a digital B2B marketplace headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, that connects local car repair workshops with a curated, on-demand supply of automotive spare parts, replacing the fragmented network of importers and middlemen that workshops traditionally rely on. Workshops use Mtor's platform (including its "Mtor Mechanic" companion app, listed on Google Play as "mtor Gomla | جملة") to check parts availability, pricing and fitment and place orders directly, with Mtor acting as the intermediary that sources from importers and delivers to the workshop. The company was founded in April 2022 by Mohamed Maged, alongside co-founders Moaz El-Megharbel, Mohamed Altaf and Khaled Kandil; Maged drew on experience in Germany's automotive sector and at B2B marketplace MaxAB before starting Mtor. Egypt's automotive aftermarket is estimated at over $5 billion, with roughly 35,000 independent workshops serving an aging vehicle fleet. In December 2023, Mtor raised $2.8 million in a pre-seed round led by Algebra Ventures. As of that raise, the company reported having fulfilled more than 70,000 orders and partnered with over 2,500 workshops in the greater Cairo area.
