Motherbeing
AI-powered health app helping Arab women track their cycles and consult doctors on women's health.

Motherbeing is an Egyptian femtech company founded in 2020 by Nour Emam and Yousef Elsamaa (with co-founder Ahmed Hashem also credited in press coverage). It began as a hybrid women's health clinic in Cairo offering in-person and online consultations, and has grown into Daleela, an AI-powered health app for Arab women. Daleela combines AI-driven health chat, menstrual cycle tracking, and access to human doctors for consultations on topics such as hormones, fertility, pregnancy and general wellness, alongside educational content and programs. The app reports more than 400,000 users, over a million AI-assisted conversations, and nearly 400,000 tracked cycles. In 2024 Motherbeing raised a $200,000 investment from Madica, an early-stage fund focused on African startups, plus 18 months of program support, to expand its services across the region.
