Miswag
Iraq's pioneering online marketplace for electronics and general merchandise.

Miswag is an online marketplace founded in 2014 by Ammar Ameen and headquartered in Baghdad, Iraq. Often cited as Iraq's first and largest e-commerce platform, it connects local and international brand retailers with Iraqi consumers, offering categories such as electronics, appliances, and general merchandise, with same-day or 24-hour delivery for orders within Baghdad. Between 2016 and 2019 the company raised roughly $3 million from Iraqi and international investors, followed by a $1.6 million pre-Series A round announced in 2021. In November 2024, QiCard (the International Smart Card Company), an Iraqi fintech and card-issuing company, acquired Miswag in a reported seven-figure deal. Miswag continues to operate under its own brand as an independent business unit while integrating with QiCard's SuperQi app and services, including a buy-now-pay-later offering; reporting since the acquisition describes significant growth in the platform's order volume.
