Digital savings app that invests users' money in Egyptian T-bill money market funds.
Menthum is a digital savings and investment app operated by Menthum Holding for Financial Investments S.A.E., licensed and regulated by Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority. Users deposit money into the Menthum Money Market Fund — managed by asset manager Azimut and invested in Egyptian government treasury bills — with no minimum balance and no lock-in period, earning a daily return the company says runs close to twice a typical bank savings account. Menthum later added a USD Fixed Income Fund investing in Egyptian government Eurobonds and a Grow Fund for equity investing, alongside a separate Menthum Corporate app for businesses. It launched in Egypt in November 2022, founded by Himanshu Shrimali and Ismail Sarhank, and is headquartered in Maadi, Cairo.
