MAYDAY is an Egyptian roadside assistance platform that connects motorists with a network of on-demand service providers for tow trucks, tire changes, battery jump-starts, and fuel delivery, with most services dispatched in under 30 minutes. Founded in 2018 by Mohamed Aboelfotouh, Islam Ahmed, and Amr Essam, the company operates across major Egyptian cities and highways through iOS and Android apps, using GPS tracking to give customers live ETAs and fixed pricing, backed by a 24/7 customer care center. MAYDAY has built a network of more than 1,200 service providers and struck B2B partnerships with companies such as Careem and Shell Helix as well as banks and insurers, serving a client base of over 30,000 users.
