MaxAB
B2B super app connecting traditional retailers to wholesale grocery supply and fintech services.

MaxAB is a B2B e-commerce and distribution platform, founded in 2018 in Cairo by Belal El-Megharbel and Mohamed Ben Halim, that connects independent grocery and food retailers with suppliers, letting retailers order thousands of products through a mobile app and receive next-day delivery instead of buying through fragmented informal supply chains. The company later added MaxAB Payments (launched 2021), a fintech layer letting retailers accept digital payments and access financing, and a logistics-as-a-service (LaaS) offering (2022) that lets other B2C e-commerce platforms use MaxAB's delivery network. In December 2023 MaxAB announced a merger with Kenya-based Wasoko, completed in 2024, combining the two B2B e-commerce platforms into a single company (MaxAB-Wasoko) serving more than 450,000 retail merchants across Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The MaxAB brand and app continue to operate in Egypt and Morocco under the merged entity.
