MANTRA
A Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built to bring real-world assets on-chain.

MANTRA is a purpose-built Layer-1 blockchain focused on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs) — such as real estate, funds, and other regulated assets — so they can be issued and traded on-chain in a way designed to meet real-world regulatory requirements. The project was founded in 2020 by John Patrick Mullin, Stephane Laurent Villedieu, Jayant Ramanand, and Will Corkin. Its Dubai-registered entity, MANTRA Finance FZE, became the first to secure a Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) DeFi/virtual-asset-exchange license in Dubai, and it has signed an agreement with the DAMAC Group to tokenize a real estate, hospitality, and data-center portfolio valued at over $1 billion. Shorooq Partners led an $11 million funding round for MANTRA. Its native OM token experienced a severe, sudden price crash in April 2025 amid allegations of irregular trading, and some sources describe the team's historical base as Hong Kong or Switzerland rather than the UAE alone, so headquarters attribution should be treated with some caution.
