Live Love Recycle
A free on-demand recycling pickup app connecting Beirut households with e-bike collection crews.

Live Love Recycle is a Beirut-based recycling service, launched by Georges Bitar, that lets households request free pickup of recyclable materials through a mobile app rather than dropping them off. Users place recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, metal) into a bag and request a pickup; a fleet of e-bike drivers arrives to collect the bag and transport it to a sorting facility, with users limited to a set number of pickups per month. The idea began as an informal Uber-based test run during Lebanon's 2015 waste crisis and took its current form after Georges Bitar received a grant from the German government in 2018. The organization operates as part of the Live Love Beirut civic initiative and has been supported by Berytech, and has reported collecting around 100 tons of recyclables from more than 4,000 Beirut households using a fleet of 400+ drivers and 50+ electric bikes. The app is available on iOS and Android.
