Lezzoo
Iraq and Kurdistan's on-demand super app for food, grocery, pharmacy delivery and payments

Lezzoo is an on-demand super app founded in 2018 in Erbil, in Iraq's Kurdistan Region, by Yadgar Merani and Rekar Botany. It began as a food-delivery service and expanded into a multi-service platform covering food, grocery, pharmacy and water delivery, in-app payments, gaming and other on-demand services, all accessed through a single iOS/Android app. The company operates in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Kirkuk and Zakho, and reports partnerships with more than 2,500 restaurants and vendors, over 1 million customers, and cumulative gross merchandise value above $200 million. Lezzoo is a Y Combinator alumnus and describes itself as the first Iraqi startup to graduate from the accelerator. In December 2022 it acquired local grocery-delivery company Saydo as part of a push into business-to-business food-supply-chain digitization.
