Konnect is a Tunisian online payment facilitator that lets freelancers, SMEs and enterprises accept payments without a merchant account, subscription fees or long-term contracts. Merchants can collect money via shareable payment links (sent by SMS, email or WhatsApp), install plugins for WooCommerce and PrestaShop, or integrate a payment API directly into their own website or app. Konnect is certified as a payment facilitator by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), is PCI DSS compliant, and supports 3-D Secure authentication for card payments. It charges a per-transaction commission (around 1.3% on Tunisian cards/e-dinar and 2.9% on international cards, plus a flat fee per bank transfer) rather than upfront or subscription fees. The company was founded in 2021 and has since raised seed funding from investors including Visa, Plug and Play Tech Center, Flat6Labs and Renew Capital.
