Qatari fintech app offering digital and physical Visa cards with budgeting and spending controls.
KARTY is a Qatari fintech company that provides an e-wallet and prepaid Visa card app for managing everyday spending. The app issues virtual and physical Visa cards and includes budgeting tools, a subscription manager, spending controls, instant peer-to-peer transfers, and a loyalty rewards program called KPoints. KARTY L.L.C. is licensed by the Qatar Central Bank as a Payment Service Provider and is registered with the Qatar Financial Centre. The company went through the Qatar FinTech Hub (QFTH) Wave 2 incubation program and is a tenant of the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). KARTY raised a pre-seed round of about QR4.3 million (roughly $1.2 million) from Visa, Qatar Development Bank, Qatar Foundation, and local angel investors, and later closed a $2 million seed round. In 2022 it partnered with global payments processor i2c to launch its digital Visa wallet. The app is available on iOS and Android with an English and Arabic interface.
