Kammelna
The digital home of Baloot and other traditional Arabic card games for millions of Gulf players.
Kammelna is a Saudi mobile gaming studio founded in 2009 in Dammam by Bader Al Zamil. It operates a digital platform built around Baloot, the traditional Gulf card game, alongside other regional card games such as Jaccaro and Tarnib. Players can add friends, join private sessions, chat, and compete in tournaments; Kammelna's Baloot tournaments have drawn as many as 150,000 participants. The app has surpassed 6 million downloads and reports more than 1 million monthly active users, making it the leading digital platform for Baloot in the region. The studio employs more than 40 people across engineering, product, and art, and is described as the largest independent gaming employer in Saudi Arabia. In August 2025, Saudi venture capital firm Impact46 acquired Kammelna for $53 million, a deal framed as supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 gaming and esports strategy. The app is free to download on iOS and Android and monetizes through in-app purchases, including card packs and subscription plans.
