ILLA
A digital logistics platform connecting FMCG brands with trucking capacity for distribution across Egypt.

ILLA (ILLA for Transportation Solutions) is a Cairo, Egypt-based logistics startup founded in 2019 by Mahmoud Elzomor, Alaa Jarkas, Ahmed Sakr and Hossam Saraya, and launched out of Flat6Labs Cairo's Spring 2019 accelerator cycle. It operates a digital platform that acts as an outsourced logistics and distribution arm for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, connecting them with a network of trucking capacity for domestic distribution, cross-docking, ocean freight and international land freight, including chilled and frozen transport. Clients order and track shipments through a digitized, simplified ordering process rather than managing their own fleets. ILLA has worked with more than 65 FMCG clients, including Coca-Cola, P&G, Danone, Nestle, Juhayna and PepsiCo. The company raised a $500,000 seed round in November 2020 from Averroes Venture Capital, AUC Angels and angel investors, followed by a $2 million Series A round in October 2021 co-led by Watheeq Financial Services and Golden Palm Investments.
