Gathern is a licensed peer-to-peer accommodation marketplace in Saudi Arabia that lets users book vacation rental apartments, chalets, villas, farms, resorts, camps, and caravans directly from local hosts. Founded in 2016 by Latifa Altamimi and Faisal Alanazi, it began as a chalet-booking platform and expanded into a broader alternative-hospitality marketplace, now listing more than 72,000 privately managed properties across over 100 Saudi cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abha, Al-Baha, Taif, AlUla, and Umluj. The company reports reaching over 5 million users and holding a leading share of Saudi Arabia's alternative hospitality sector. Gathern has raised institutional funding, most recently a large Series B round led by Sanabil Investments (a PIF subsidiary) with participation from Endeavor, Pinnacle, Nuwa Capital and STV, and has stated ambitions toward a Saudi Exchange listing. The service is accessible via web and mobile apps on iOS and Android, offering both short daily stays and monthly rental options.
