ExpandCart is a SaaS e-commerce platform, headquartered in Cairo/Giza, Egypt, that lets merchants build, host and manage online stores with native Arabic-language support alongside English, French and other European languages via bilingual templates. The platform includes an integrated point-of-sale system for managing multiple sales channels and offers branded mobile apps for merchants. It was founded in 2013 by Amr Shawqy, Sameh Nabil and Yasser Seleem, and in 2020 raised a $2.5 million Series A round led by Sawari Ventures with participation from Agility Ventures, Graphene Ventures and angel investors. ExpandCart offers a free plan alongside paid subscription tiers (paid plans reported starting around $24.9/month) and describes itself as one of the larger e-commerce store-builder platforms serving merchants in the Middle East.
