Esaal

Esaal is an Egyptian online health and wellness platform, launched in 2018, that connects users with certified doctors, therapists, nutritionists and other wellness experts through its mobile app. Consultations happen via text, voice or video call, or in-person visits, and can be paid for with cash, credit cards, Vodafone Cash or Fawry. Esaal's name means 'ask' in Arabic. The platform lists more than 866 experts across medical, psychological, nutritional and personal-development specialties, and also offers Healia, an AI health assistant available for chat around the clock. Esaal operates a B2B2C model, partnering with insurers (including Allianz Egypt) and companies to provide these services to employees, and has expanded its reach beyond Egypt into other MENA markets such as Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Palestine and Iraq. In 2022 the company raised a $1.7M seed round, bringing total funding to $3M at the time.
