eMushrif
IoT-based smart school bus tracking and student safety platform for schools and parents.

eMushrif is an Omani startup that equips school buses with IoT devices and cameras to automate student attendance, verify that no child is left unattended on board, and give schools and parents real-time bus tracking and notifications through dedicated mobile apps. It was founded in 2016 by Adnan Alshuaili, Awadh Alshukaili and Issa Alshuaili, and began as an accelerator-backed project (an alum of the OTF Wadi Accelerator) before growing into a platform reported to serve more than 150,000 students across public and private schools, primarily in Oman and Kuwait, with a presence also noted in the UAE and Egypt. The company raised a pre-series A round of roughly USD 1 million and later a USD 7.5 million round led by Jasoor Ventures, with participation from Phaze Ventures, ITHCA Group, IDO Investments and Annex Investments, to expand its smart school transportation platform across the GCC.
