CWallet is a Qatar Central Bank-licensed fintech founded in 2018 by Michael Javier and Dr. Abdulmohsin Al Yafei in Doha. It provides a digital wallet and payroll platform aimed at unbanked and low-income migrant workers, domestic helpers, and blue-collar employees in Qatar. Employers use CWallet to pay salaries directly into workers' digital wallets, while employees use the mobile app to make online, offline, and point-of-sale payments, top up mobile credit, pay bills, and send cross-border remittances to countries including the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Egypt, and Tunisia. The company has raised a pre-seed round and an $875,000 pre-Series A round led by MBK Holding with participation from Angels.qa, and won the Innovative Fintech Solution of the Year award at the Qatar Digital Business Awards in 2022.
