CoinMENA
Regulated cryptocurrency exchange for buying, selling and trading digital assets in the Gulf.

CoinMENA is a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Bahrain that lets retail and institutional users buy, sell and trade digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum using local currencies including the Bahraini dinar, Kuwaiti dinar and UAE dirham. It was founded in 2020 by Talal Tabbaa and Dina Sam'an. The company operates under a crypto-asset license from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) through its CoinMENA B.S.C. entity, and under a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) through CoinMENA FZE. In December 2025, Turkish exchange Paribu agreed to acquire CoinMENA in a deal reported to be valued at up to USD 240 million, gaining CoinMENA's Bahrain and Dubai regulatory licenses in the process. As of this research, the CoinMENA brand, website and mobile apps continue to operate under their own name.
