Cartlow
UAE-born re-commerce marketplace for refurbished, open-box, and clearance electronics.
Cartlow is a re-commerce marketplace founded in the UAE in 2019 that sells pre-owned, refurbished, open-box, and clearance products — spanning electronics such as phones, laptops, tablets, TVs and smartwatches, as well as home appliances and other categories — at discounted prices, positioning itself around digitizing the pre-owned goods industry and reducing electronic waste. The company has stated it has sold or recycled over one million devices. It operates across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Cartlow raised a $2 million pre-Series A round in 2020 from investors including Arzan Venture Capital and Vision Ventures (part of roughly $20 million in total disclosed funding), and also launched a B2B refurbishment/liquidation arm called VASCART. In March 2025, Cartlow was acquired by Basatne Group, which stated the deal would advance circular device management in the Middle East; public reporting after the acquisition describes Cartlow's platform and technology continuing to operate under Basatne's ownership.
