Buguard

Buguard is a Cairo, Egypt-founded cybersecurity company offering offensive security and threat intelligence services. Its two core products are Dark Atlas, a dark web monitoring and threat intelligence platform that tracks attack surfaces, threat actor activity, credential leaks and brand exposure, and Strike Atlas, an AI-assisted penetration testing platform. Buguard also provides application security assessments, GRC advisory, bug bounty program management, and red teaming services. Founded in 2021 by Youssef Mohamed, the company bootstrapped before raising a $500,000 seed round led by A15 (with angel investor participation) in 2023 to fund GCC expansion. Its client base includes Egyptian firms such as Paymob, Fawry, EFG Hermes, Halan, Thndr and MaxAB, alongside enterprise customers in Saudi Arabia, the US, France, Australia, Japan, the UK, Singapore and the UAE. Buguard now maintains a presence in Cairo, Riyadh and the US.
