BirdNest is an Egyptian proptech/hospitality startup that curates and manages furnished apartments and boutique-hotel-style stays, bookable for anything from one night to a year. Its inventory spans developments such as Marassi Marina, Vida Marassi, Cairo Festival City and Sheikh Zayed, and it lists units on its website and via iOS and Android apps. Alongside the guest-facing booking product, BirdNest runs a partner program for property owners: a specialist assesses and furnishes a unit (or lists it as-is), then BirdNest handles listing, marketing, renting and ongoing management in exchange for a share of rental income. BirdNest was one of 15 Egyptian startups selected in October 2023 for the joint 500 Global / ITIDA scale-up programme in Cairo, alongside companies like Convertedin.
