BankNBox is a Cairo, Egypt-based banking-as-a-service and payments technology company founded in 2022 by CEO Bassem Mahmoud. It sells a SaaS core banking platform and digital banking software to banks and fintechs, covering internet and mobile banking, e-wallets, e-KYC/KYB onboarding, AI chatbots, open banking APIs and branch tablet systems. On the payments side, BankNBox provides card issuing and processing for credit, debit and prepaid cards, ATM management, POS and SoftPOS acceptance, and a white-label payment gateway; in 2025 it obtained PCI DSS and PCI PIN certification for its card-processing operations. The company states more than ten financial institutions in Egypt use its platform for issuing and acquiring, and it has expanded through partnerships and deployments into other Middle Eastern, African, Asian and European markets. BankNBox received seed funding led by Cairo-based DisrupTech Ventures.
