Alsaree3
Baghdad-based on-demand food delivery app connecting diners with local restaurants.

Alsaree3 (Arabic for 'the fast one') is Iraq's first on-demand food delivery company, based in Baghdad and founded in 2018 by Bassam Al Ateia. The mobile app lets users browse restaurant menus, customize orders with notes, apply promo codes and loyalty rewards, and track deliveries handled by the company's own trained delivery fleet. It became the market leader in Baghdad through its restaurant selection (450+ partner restaurants) and delivery speed, and has since expanded to Basra. The company also built proprietary point-of-sale technology and hardware that partner restaurants use to manage orders. Alsaree3 operates alongside a sister e-logistics company, Al Zajel, and together they raised a six-figure seed round and later a bridge/second investment round; Alsaree3 has raised a reported $6.5 million total from investors including Iraq Tech Ventures, Euphrates Advisors and Innovest.
