The Luxury Closet is an online marketplace for pre-owned luxury handbags, clothing, shoes, watches and jewellery, where every item is authenticated in-house by a team of gemologists and leather and textile experts before sale, and sellers consign their pieces through the platform. Founded in Dubai in 2012 by Kunal Kapoor, it ships to more than 80 countries, has offices in Dubai, India and Kuwait, and reports over 2.4 million shoppers and 390,000 products sold. It has raised several rounds from investors including MEVP, Wamda Capital and GMP Investments, which led a $14 million round in 2021.
