The Food Lab

The Food Lab is an Egyptian cloud kitchen operator that lets restaurant brands expand without building their own outlets. Under its kitchen-as-a-service model it handles procurement, cooking, delivery, marketing and data-driven recommendations, and gives partners an operations dashboard to track their brands across its kitchens in Downtown Cairo, Maadi, New Cairo and Nasr City. Founded in 2020 by Kareem El Daly, Ahmed Osman and Wesam Masoud, the Cairo-based company raised a $4.5 million pre-seed round in April 2022 co-led by Nuwa Capital, Shorooq Partners and 4DX Ventures and says it works with more than 50 local and international brands.
