Money Fellows digitises the gameya, the rotating savings and credit circle familiar across Egypt, matching users into online circles where they can take an early payout slot for a fee or a later slot to save. The app handles member vetting and credit scoring, collections and payouts, and partners with banks and card networks, including a prepaid card launched with Banque Misr and Mastercard in January 2025. Founded in 2016 by Ahmed Wadi and headquartered in Cairo, it reports more than 8 million users and has raised over $60 million, including a $31 million Series B and a $13 million round in 2025 to expand across Africa.
