Malaa is a Saudi personal finance app that uses open banking to bring a user's bank accounts, spending, loans and investments into a single view, with budgeting tools, savings goals and Sharia-compliant managed investment portfolios. It operates under Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) open banking and Capital Market Authority regulation and reports more than 640,000 active users. Founded in 2020 by Ali Alorainy and Faisal Alqarni, the company raised a $1.7 million seed round in 2022 from Impact46, Khwarizmi Ventures, VentureSouq and WealthWell.
