FinTechFree

liwwa is a Jordanian lending platform that finances small and medium businesses without collateral, offering murabaha for equipment and stock, working capital, point-of-sale advances and cheque discounting, with a credit decision in about two days and grace periods of up to three months. Founded in Amman in 2013 by Ahmed Moor and Samer Atiani, it lends in Jordan and also runs a marketplace where investors buy into SME loan receivables. In May 2024 it secured a $5 million loan from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to widen its SME lending, after raising $18.5 million in equity and debt in its pre-Series B.
