Khazna is a Cairo-based financial super app for payroll and pension recipients with little access to banks, offering earned-wage access and salary advances, payroll-backed lending, buy-now-pay-later, bill payments, money transfers and a prepaid card. It works with employers and a network of retail partners across Egypt and has begun expanding into Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2019 by Omar Saleh and co-founders, Khazna has raised more than $63 million to date, including a $16 million pre-Series B round in February 2025, and reports over 500,000 users, roughly 100,000 of whom receive their payroll through the platform.
