FreshSource

FreshSource is a business-to-business agri-supply chain platform that sources fruit and vegetables directly from Egyptian farmers and delivers them to restaurants, hotels, online grocers and retailers, using contract farming, direct procurement and its own last-mile logistics to cut post-harvest food loss. Launched in Cairo in 2019 by siblings Farah and Omar Emara, it works with thousands of producers and serves customers across 11 Egyptian cities. In February 2022 it closed a seven-figure seed round led by Wamda and 4DX, billed as the largest agritech round in Egypt at the time.
