dubizzle is the UAE's largest online classifieds marketplace, where individuals and businesses list used cars, property for sale and rent, jobs, electronics, furniture and other second-hand goods. It was launched in Dubai in 2005 by J.C. Butler and Sim Whatley, fully acquired by Naspers-owned OLX Group in a deal valuing it at $400 million, and now sits alongside Bayut inside Dubai-headquartered Dubizzle Group. Browsing is free and many ads cost nothing to post, while car, property and job listings and premium placement are paid.
